Campout Sat Night, Return Sunday - optional campout Friday Nite Dec 5th

Itinerary:

Depart: North Mianus School Sat Dec 6th 7AM
Return Sunday Dec 7th by Noon.
We have a Cabin reserved for our Troop at Camp Nooteeming, Salt Point, NY in Dutchess County, for the weekend of Dec 6th. Those scouts wishing to get two nights of camping in can arrive at the campground on Friday Dec 5th. The Cabin holds 28 beds, and there is plenty of space to set up tents.

Activities will include orienteering, 5 mile hike and nature study, fire building, cooking, camping essentials and possible preparation for the Klondike Derby.

Please let the Troop Leadership know prior to Thanksgiving if you plan on attending this new Troop campout location. Patrols will plan appropriate meals with scouts. Parents will plan a Chili cookout or other favorite campout meal.

From Greenwich:

• I-95 South to 287 west
• Take I-684 North towards Brewster
• Take I-84 West to Taconic Parkway North to Exit for Rte 44.
• Make a Left (West towards Poughkeepsie) approximately 3 miles to Creek Road.
• Turn Right onto Creek Road go about 3 miles, proceed through the intersection.
• The road is now Scout Road. Continue to the camp entrance which will be on the Right.
